Curly Coils

If you want to curl your hair but don't want to use heat on it, this is the perfect way to get natural curls without damaging your hair!!

Time:
10 minutes before bed, 10 minutes in the morning

Supplies:
hair
bobby pins

Step 1: With very lightly damp hair, you will take a piece of hair and begin twisting it. Make sure the piece is the same size throughout. The more hair in the twist means bigger curls. Less hair means smaller curls. Take your pick.

Step 2: You will then wrap it around and around  until it is like the picture below.
Step 3: Take a bobby pin and pin the remaining little hair. The more bobby pins, the more secure. You  DON'T want it to fall out in your sleep!

Step 4: Repeat steps 1-3 across your whole head!

In the morning, you will remove all the bobby pins and run your fingers through your hair to separate all of the curls. It will be big and poofy at first, but after a while it tones down. Unless you want it poofy, then hair spray it right away.

If one of the coils came out over night, curl that hair with a curling iron and run your fingers through that to make it look like the rest of your hair.

Sockbun

This post is all about the sockbun! Im going to show you how simple it really is!

Duration:
1-5 minutes

Supplies:
Long hair
sock
scissors
Step 1: Youre going to get a sock you dont mind cutting up.  The longer and thicker the hair, the longer the sock. I  used a toe sock and you just cut out the toe spot.

Step 2: Put your hair in a pony tail and that determines where the bun will be. you can put it on the back of your head if you choose, but I like mine at the top of my head.

Step 3: Start at the bottom of the pony tail and put some of the hair in it and just roll it and make sure your hair is covering the sock completely.

Step 4: Tuck in any loose looking hairs and you're done!

(If you want, you can do this when your hair is slightly wet and sleep on it and it should make your hair curly)
For those of you who dont do well with just directions, I made a short video that shows a how-to as well!
Comment with any questions! Enjoy!

Patching Toms

                             Patching Toms

After about 7 months of wearing my Toms daily, my big toe decided to pop right out of the shoe! I decided to patch them up after seeing something about it on Pinterest. Sometimes the how-to-do's on Pinterest are confusing, so I hope this helps!

Duration:
10-30 minutes

Supplies:
holey toms
scissors
fabric glue
fabric of choice
denim

Step 1: You are going to get a hole in your Toms. Its going to happen, people.
Step 2: Gather your supplies. All the supplies are listed above, but a picture looks good too.

Step 3: you are going to cut out a tiny piece of denim. ( If you dont have any old denim, go to a thrift store and buy a really cheap pair) You will then place the denim over the hole(even if the other side doesnt have a hole, I would put it on both, because its bound to get a hole too and this will prevent it from getting one any sooner) You will just iron on the denim piece
Step 4: You are going to take your fabric glue and place it along the seam of the shoe, that way it looks cleaner.  Just place the fabric you chose along it just like the picture below

Step 5: You will then cut all the excess off the bottom. Now when I did this I didn't understand how they figured out the bottom. You will slide your fingernail along the seam and let it dry a little bit. Later cut the extra.
(I went through the bottom with fingernail clippers and clipped the extra little pieces!
Step 6: Dont wear them for at least a day, to make sure the glue is stuck! Enjoy!
Any questions, just comment!
